The Vega telecommunication group launched an IP telephony service called VegaPhone on December 14.
With the help of the VegaPhone IP telephony service, subscribers can use landline telephone numbers from Vega via the internet: in particular, they can make local and long-distance telephone calls, calls to numbers on mobile-telephone networks, and international telephone calls.
The cost of connection to the service is UAH 1.
The cost of telephone calls to numbers on mobile-telephone networks is 60 kopecks per minute; the cost of calls between VegaPhone subscribers is 0 kopeck per minute.
To connect to the service, a subscriber needs to install special, free software on his personal computer.
The new service is available to subscribers on Kyiv, Boryspil, Vyshneve (both in the Kyiv region), Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yalta, Yevpatoria (all Crimea), Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kryvyi Rih, Novomoskovsk (both Dnipropetrovsk region), Zaporizhia, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk.
