MTS Introduces ‘Super MTS Free Of Connection Fee’ Tariff

The MTS Ukraine mobile communication operator on March 1 introduced the Super MTS Free of Connection Fee tariff for contract and prepaid service subscribers. The tariff is permanent, no connection fee is charged within it. Subscribers to the MTS prepaid service, who activated the tariff, can order the Super service and receive 30 free-of-charge minutes a day for calls within the MTS network over 25 days; after the end of the bonus minutes or the service expiration the connection fee makes UAH 0.5. Apart from this, prepaid service subscribers can order additional 1,000 zero-charge bonus minutes within the network a month, activation of the service, as well as the monthly fee, makes UAH 5. Prepaid service subscribers are also provided with 900 free-of-charge SMSes a month, calls to numbers of other Ukrainian mobile operators and fixed-line communication subscribers cost UAH 1 a minute. For contract-bound subscribers 2,000 minutes of calls within the MTS network are not charged, without restriction, and when the 2,000 minutes exhausted calls to MTS subscribers cost UAH 0.25 a minute, to subscribers of other Ukrainian mobile operators and fixed-line communication subscribers cost UAH 0.75 a minute, monthly fee makes UAH 20, per-second billing. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, MTS finished 2009 with a net profit of UAH 640.3 million.

IPNET Introduces ‘Comfort MIX’ Internet Access And Digital TV Services

IPNET, an internet service provider in Kyiv, from December 25 introduced the Comfort MIX tariff of internet access and digital TV services, reads a statement made by the provider. According to the tariff, subscriber gets unlimited internet access at the rate of 10 Mbps and also the All Inclusive digital TV package (136 TV channels). Apart from this, the Turbo Mode service is available, with its help subscriber can double the rate for a certain period of time (subscriber fee for the service makes UAH 12 a month). Subscriber fee for the tariff makes UAH 159 a month. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, IPNET is a Kyiv internet service provider offering internet access under the FTTB (Fiber to the Building) technology.

MTS Offers “1000 Minutes Within MTS” Service

The MTS Ukraine mobile communications operator has introduced a "1000 minutes within MTS" service for Super tariff subscribers as of December 3, the operator announces. The subscribers are offered 1,000 minutes of talks at 0 kopeck/minute within MTS network without connection fee. Service fee is UAH 5/month. The Super tariff range includes 8 tariff plans. As Ukrainian News reported, MTS yielded a net profit of UAH 640.3 million with a net income being down by 4.9% or UAH 421.5 million to UAH 8,172.7 million in 2009 compared with 2008.

Kyivstar, Beeline Introduce Single “25 Million” Tariff Plan

The Kyivstar telecom operator and the Beeline communication operator (Ukrainian RadioSystems and Golden Telecom companies) have introduced a single tariff plans — "25 Million" — for their contractual subscribers and subscribers to pre-paid service of the two networks from November 25. Ukrainian News learned this from a joint statement by the operators. According to the tariff plan, the subscribers receive 250 package minutes of calls within the Kyivstar and Beeline networks (the cost beyond the package will be UAH 0.20/minute). The cost of calls to numbers of Ukrainian fixed telephone and mobile operators will be UAH 0.70.minute. The user charge is UAH 20 per month. No fee is charged for connection. The tariff plan envisages per minute billing. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Kyivstar telecom operator has opened from November 22 the national roaming for the subscribers of Beeline. Kyivstar and Beeline communications operators plan to close the merger deal by 2014. The companies will be merged in several stages: at the first one Kyivstar will open national roaming for Beeline subscribers to enable them communicate under the Beeline tariffs within the united network.
