Kyivstar Introduces Opportunity Of Delay In Monthly Payments For Subscribers To Home InternetThe Kyivstar telecommunication operator has introduced from December 30 an opportunity of seven-day delay in monthly payments for subscribers to Home Internet.
The service is designed for subscribers who cannot replenish their accounts for different reasons. The service is free for subscription.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in the third quarter of 2010 the number of subscribers to the broadband Internet of Kyivstar and Beeline was 226,200.
Kyivstar reported a profit of NOK 5.1 billion for the year 2009, when its net revenues reduced by NOK 4.787 billion or 34.6% to NOK 9.047 billion compared with 2008.

ACU vs Volia: 5 mln UAH penaltyThe Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (ACU) has found monopolism on the market of telecommunication services by Volia-cable company. It's reported in the special ACU statement made by the Acting Head of the ACU Alexander Melnichenko.
According to him, The Antimonopoly Committee began investigating the company's operation in Kiev and other 12 regions of Ukrane. As a result, in July Volia-cable and three linked structures in Kiev had been fined for totaling 3 mln UAH, due to a court decision.
The ACU also demands to cut down prices for Volia-cable services, as far as prices for a certain packages, social ones, in particular, are overstated.
To settle the problem a special working group will be established.
As it was reported earlier, Volia plans to launch in Ukraine interactive digital television (IPTV) in the second half of 2010.

Kyivstar offers “Additional Number” for their subscribersThe Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar has introduced a service called "Additional Number" for their subscribers. It was reported by the company's press service.
This new service allows Kyivstar subscribers to use two phone numbers on one SIM-card.
The service is provided on a temporary or permanent basis, and it costs UAH 2 for one week of use , 4 UAH for two weeks, and 8 UAH for a month.
Ongoing contract subscribers can order this service for 8 UAH/month, while prepaid customers will pay as much as 0.3 UAH/day.
The cost of changing the additional number is 10 UAH.

IP telephony in Ukraine: 126,7 million UAH for January-October 2009In January-October 2009 revenues based on IP telephony services in Ukraine amounted to UAH 126,7 million , as it is stated in the report of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
In particular, revenues from the provision of IP telephony services to the population in January-September amounted to UAH 0,5 million .
Thus, the share of revenues from IP-telephony in total revenue in the field of communication equals to 0,33%.
It should be noted that in January - September 2009, the companies' revenues from communication services in Ukraine decreased by 3.8%, compared to the same period in 2008, down to UAH 34, 0888.
