Sales of Mobile Terminals in Ukraine Up 7.6% to 2.7 Million in H1

cell-phonesFrom January to June sales of mobile terminals rose by 7.6% or 0.19 million to 2.69 million against the second half of 2009, reads a report made by the press service of a Kyiv-based IT holding Unitrade Group.

In the first half-year sales of mobile terminals fell in money terms by 5.3% or UAH 17.5 million to UAH 312 million over the second half-year of 2009.

The press service says the top four cell phones makers were Nokia (market share 48%), Samsung (35%), LG (13%), and Sony Ericsson (2%).

Unitrade Group notes the decrease in the average cost for devices following the results of the half-year by 10%, or USD 13 to USD 116.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, sales of mobile terminals rose by 37.4% to 2.5 million in the second half year of 2009.
