Since October 14, 2009, Ukraine has changed the order of dialing for long-distance, international and mobile numbers, as the press service of the State Administration for Communication informed.
Meanwhile, only prefixes for intercity and international telephone networks, national destination code zones, as well as codes of mobile operators have been changed. The transition of all operators – both fixed and mobile – took place simultaneously.
Today instead of “8″, which was used to enter the long distance network and a network of mobile operators, one should dial “0″. The same changes are effective to enter the long-distance networks: call to Donetsk, for example, starts with 0-62 (instead of – 8-062), while for international connection just call 0-0 (instead of 8-10).
