The National Communications Regulation Commission (NCRC) is forecasting abolition of licenses for mobile communications services by November.
The NCRC’s Chairman Volodymyr Oliinyk announced this at the «Integration and Partnership» international investment forum.
Oliinyk said that the commission was taking a series of steps to simplify access to the telecommunications market.
In particular, he said that the commission and the parliamentary committee on transport and communications have jointly drafted and submitted to the parliament a draft law that provides for abolishing the licensing of several telecommunications services, including mobile and local fixed-line communications services.
«I think that this law will be adopted within one month,» Oliinyk said.
According to him, adoption of this draft law will facilitate reduction of the period necessary to launch telecommunications networks and begin providing services to subscribers from one year to six months.
