MTS Introduces “Super MTS Doubly Better” Tariff Plan

MTS_LogoThe MTS Ukraine mobile communications operator introduced a tariff plans called “Super MTS Doubly Better” for prepaid subscribers in four regions on October 15.

MTS Ukraine announced this in a statement, un.ua says.

Under the “Super MTS Doubly Better” tariff plan, subscribers that top up their accounts by UAH 30 can make telephone calls to numbers on the MTS network at 0 kopecks per minute for 25 days (under the “Super” tariff plan, subscribers that top up their accounts by UAH 30-79 receive 1,500 bonus minutes for 25 days; subscribers that top up their accounts by more than UAH 80 receive 4,800 bonus minutes for 80 days).

Telephone calls to numbers on the networks of other Ukrainian operators cost 50 kopecks per minute.

No connection fee is charged for calls to numbers on the MTS network; a connection fee of 33 kopecks is charged for calls to numbers on the networks of other Ukrainian operators.

The cost of an SMS text message to a telephone on the MTS network (under the Super service) is 0 kopeck; the cost of an SMS text message to a telephone on the networks of other Ukrainian operators is 39 kopecks.

This tariff plan is valid on the territories of the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Zakarpattia, and Kharkiv regions.

The tariff plan was introduced for an indefinite period.

MTS reported a net profit of UAH 640.3 million for the year 2009, when its net revenues reduced by UAH 421.5 million or 4.9% to UAH 8,172.7 million compared with 2008.

Mobile Telesystems (MTS) of Russia owns 100% of the shares in Ukrainian Mobile Communications.
