Kyivstar Introduces 4 Tariffs for Metro Ukraine Clients

kyivstarKyivstar mobile communication operator on July 26 introduced four tariffs for clients of Metro Cash&Carry Ukraine, reads a statement made by the operator.

In the tariff plan METRO Single Price subscriber fee makes UAH 10 a month, one-time advance payment UAH 50 (all the money credited to the subscriber’s account), calls within a subscriber group to Kyivstar numbers and to fixed-line and mobile communication operators’ numbers cost UAH 0.25 per minute.

In the tariff METRO 30 subscriber fee makes UAH 30 a month, one-time advance payment UAH 100 (all the money credited to the subscriber’s account), a subscriber gets 300 non-charged minutes of calls to Kyivstar numbers and 30 minutes to other operators’ numbers; over the package calls within a subscriber group cost UAH 0.05 per minute, to Kyivstar numbers UAH 0.15 per minute, and to other mobile communication operators’ numbers UAH 0.80 per minute.

In the tariff METRO 80 subscriber fee makes UAH 80 a month, one-time advance payment UAH 150 (all the money credited to the subscriber’s account), a subscriber gets 1,000 non-charged minutes of calls to Kyivstar numbers and 100 minutes to other operators’ numbers; over the package calls within a subscriber group cost UAH 0.05 per minute, to Kyivstar numbers UAH 0.15 per minute, and to other mobile communication operators’ numbers UAH 0.60 per minute.

In the tariff METRO Unlimited subscriber fee makes UAH 380 a month, one-time advance payment UAH 400 (all the money credited to the subscriber’s account), a subscriber gets 4,000 non-charged minutes of calls to Kyivstar numbers and to other operators’ numbers except life:), Beeline, Intertelecom and Ecotel (500 non-charged minutes of calls are provided for these operators), and also 1,000 SMSes, 300 MMSes, and 200 MB of internet traffic; over the package calls within a subscriber group, to Kyivstar numbers and to other operators’ numbers coats UAH 0.60 per minute.

The first three tariff plans charge no connection fees, while METRO Unlimited charges UAH 0.10 of a connection fee.

Holders of Metro Cash&Carry client cards can activate these tariffs until October 31.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Kyivstar recorded a profit of UAH 224 million for the first quarter of 2010, when its net revenues fell by UAH 0.317 billion or 10.97% to UAH 2.573 billion compared with the preceding quarter.

Kyivstar earned a profit of NOK 5.1 billion for 2009, when its net revenue fell by NOK 4.787 billion or 34.6% to NOK 9.047 billion against 2008.

On April 21, the Telenor telecommunications company (Norway) and the Altimo company (Russia) announced the completion of the merger of VimpelCom mobile telecommunications operator (Russia) and the Kyivstar mobile communication operator. Consequently, Kyivstar’s shares were automatically transferred to the newly created VimpelCom Ltd.
