Kyivstar Cuts Subscriber Fee for ‘Internet 100′ Internet Package 50% to UAH 25 a Month

kyivstarKyivstar mobile communication operator cuts the subscriber fee for the ‘Internet 100′ internet package by 50% or UAH 25 to UAH 25 a month for Svoboda tariff subscribers from July 1, Ukrainian News has learned from a copy of a statement made by the company.

At the moment the subscriber fee for this internet package makes UAH 50 a month.

The internet package is available for all operator’s subscribers.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the number of Kyivstar subscribers rose by 0.1% in May to 21.89 million.

Kyivstar earned a profit of UAH 224 million in the January-to-March quarter, while its revenue fell by 10.97% or UAH 0.317 billion to UAH 2.573 billion compared with the previous quarter.

Kyivstar generated a profit of NOK 5.1 billion last year with net revenue being down by 34.6% or NOK 4.787 billion to NOK 9.047 billion, as compared with 2008.

Norwegian telecom company Telenor and Russian Altimo completed merger of VimpelCom mobile communication operator and Kyivstar mobile communication operator on April 21, 2010 with Kyivstar’s shares being transferred to newly created VimpelCom Ltd.
