Kyivstar and Beeline Earn UAH 339 Million in Q2

kyivstar-beelineKyivstar and Beeline, the mobile communication operators, end the April-to-June quarter with a net profit of UAH 339 million.

This is stated in financial report of the VimpelCom Ltd company.

A net revenues of the companies in the second quarter made up UAH 3.071 billion.

The consolidated income of the companies made up UAH 39.7 per subscriber (APRU).

According to Kyivstar press service data, the net profit of operator in the second quarter made up UAH 432 million.

In April-May 2010, comparing with April-May 2009, Kyivstar decreased its net revenues by 2.3% or UAH 0.065 billion to UAH 2.767 billion.

The Kyivstar income in the second quarter made up UAH 40.9 per subscriber (APRU).

Beeline does not give the financial accounting for the second quarter separately of «Ukrainian Radio Systems» and «Golden Telecom».

The financial accounting have been compiled by the standards of GAAP.

From the second quarter VimperCom in its financial accounting decided to represent the consolidated financial results of the Ukrainian mobile communication operator, that constituent the company.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on October 5, 2009, the Altimo company (Russia) and the Telenor telecommunications company (Norway) agreed to merge Kyivstar and VimpelCom to create a new cellular communications operator, VimpelCom Ltd. (Bermuda islands), to provide integrated cellular communications services in Russia, Ukraine, and other member-countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as in Georgia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
