Intellecom to Put into Operation WiMAX Network in Kharkiv

intellecom-logoInternet service provider Intellecom has plans to put into operation wireless WiMAX internet network in Kharkiv, reads a statement made by the company.

According to the statement, Intellecom will offer three kinds of connection modems: portable, stationary or external devices, un.ua says.

The company has its next plans to expand its WiMAX networks in other cities with more than 1-million strong population.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Intellecom is the second WiMAX operator in Kyiv after Ukrainian Cutting-Edge Technologies.

Intellecom is a limited liability company controlled by VTEL Holdings Limited, which is registered in the United Arab Emirates and operates on the CIS, African, and South American markets.

The National Communications Regulation Commission decided in January to issue no-bid licences for WiMAX within the 5,250-5,350 MHz bands.
