As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Datagroup was founded through merger of several telecommunications companies in the city of Kyiv and provinces.
Datagroup runs a nationwide DWDM fiber-optic data transfer network of 11,500 kilometers and an MPLS multimedia network built on its basis.
The MPLS network allows transmission of voice, data, and images to the end users — corporate and private subscribers.
The company is controlled by several individuals, including the founder of the company — Oleksandr Kardakov.
In August 2010, the Horizon Capital investment company acquired a minority shareholding in Datagroup for USD 40 million.
