Communications Commission submits ads of mobile operators offering zero rates for services to Antimonopoly Committee

The National Commission for Regulating Communications (NCRC) has submitted ads of mobile communication operators offering zero rates for services to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the National Commission for Regulating Communications.

According to the statement, the commission expects reactions from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) to such ads, as resolution of the NCRC No.1579 dated July 9 entitled “About Observation of Ukrainian Legislation in the Telecommunication Center” does not allow communication operators setting zero rates on mobile communication services and obliges operators to give subscribers full information about the true cost of services.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the NCRC in July 2009 collected and transferred to the State Committee for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy ads of mobile communication operators offering zero rates for services for analysis.
