Communications Commission licenses Datagroup for provision of fixed-line local communications services in Zaporizhia region until 2014

The National Communications Regulatory Commission issued a licence to a Kyiv-based telecom company Datagroup for provision of fixed-line local communications services in Zaporizhia region until 2014, reads Commission resolution No 1801 dated December 24.

The regulator provided a licence for 10,000 numbers for five years.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the National Communications Regulatory Commission in September licensed Datagroup for three broadband internet frequency bands in all regions until 2019.

Datagroup finished 2008 with EBITDA of UAH 106.7 million.

The company operates a nationwide DWDM fiber-optic data transfer network and an MPLS multimedia network built on its basis. The MPLS network allows transmission of voice, data, and images to the end users — corporate and private subscribers.

Datagroup was created through the merger of several telecommunications companies in Kyiv and Ukrainian regions.
