Communications Commission licenses Astelit for provision of fixed-line communications services in 4 regions, Crimea And Kyiv City until 2014

The National Communications Regulatory Commission (NCRC) issued licences to Astelit, a mobile communications operator providing its services under the life:) brand name, for provision of fixed-line communications services in four regions, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and in the city of Kyiv until 2014, reads Commission Resolution 1801 dated December 24.

Astelit was licensed for providing local fixed-line communications services in Kyiv, Crimea, and also in Kharkiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Odesa region and Donetsk region.

The licences were given for 10,000 numbers in each network for five years.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Communications Commission in September provided Astelit with licences for frequencies from 18,373.75 to 18,428.75 megahertz, from 19,383.75 to 19,438.75 megahertz for radio-relay communications in all the regions.
