Beeline to launch Network Control Center
VympelCom Group in Ukraine (TM Beeline) combines the functions of control, management and monitoring of the network infrastructure of its mobile and fixed business in a universal network management center (UNMC). By opening the Center Beeline is completing development of a universal quality management system and makes an important step towards the implementation of converged communications services.
The main purpose of establishing a joint UNMC is early detection of technical incidents in different levels of network infrastructure, coordination and maintenance work to their elimination. To do this, the company created a separate operational division, launched the up-to-date soft and hardware complex for monitoring. Special subcontrol center has been also equipped.
Software/hardware system for monitoring based on Cisco InfoCenter platform worth 500 thousand dollars covers all the elements used by the network infrastructure of Beeline in Ukraine, including the transport network, multiservice IP network, mobile network, fixed network, a network of broadband Internet technology FTTB, units of service platforms of secondary networks, the elements of life support systems of technological platforms, etc.
For customers of Beeline in Ukraine emergence of the Joint Control Center for network management means reducing the response time to emergencies and recovery service, as well as additional assurance of quality control and reliability of the Beeline services throughout the territory of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian team is the first in the group VympelCom to complete the integration and to set the new direction for the united company’s business and technical solutions/
By the way, according to preliminary data, the UNMC will allow to create unified quality management system for all provided services to reduce response time to emergency situations for 30 minutes or more. This also resulted in savings of 40% of resources by the elimination of duplicated functions, over 500 thousand dollars in costs for monitoring systems and about 40 thousand dollars on equipment in particular.
